On Teachers Day 2009 which was last Saturday,a friend of mine invited me to give a half an hour talk/sharing on "Life away from Home" to the girl's brigade members in her church(A chinese church).I usually get really excited when I get to talk about God and what he has done in my life and how I am SO IN LOVE WITH HIM.
I shared with those girls whose ages ranged from 15-17 (i think) my struggles before coming to Sibu and how I had to yield myself to the will of God in my life and chose to be happy despite the fact that i would be so far away from my family and friends andhad to start all over again in a totally new place and environment.I showed them my journals.. There were four to five books that I had since I came to Sibu.I even read one of my entrees in 2005(that was before i came to Sibu) to them... I cant believe I still had that journal......
I also showed them my scrap book.Its a book where i keep every card, encouragement letters or anything given to me by my friends and students here in Sibu.I mention to them that each time I felt sad or really lonely, I would open up the scrap book and read the cards and letters given to me and my heart would feel not that sad anymore.It would somehow be lifted.Thats how important encouragement is.You might think its not that important but it actually is.It can really sustain me for a long time.I felt so so blessed to be able to share the good things that God has done in my life here in Sibu to them and I thank God for using me.
Its been four good blessed enjoyable fun and great years here.As i reflected on my life for the past four years, I could not help but be amazed at how God weaved everything in place for me.Though i dont really know what the future holds for me right this moment, looking back I know that I am in good hands.
Encouraging others is also someting that I am fond of and is so close to my heart too.
HAVE YOU ENCOURAGE ANYONE LATELY?Someone that you know that needs your kind words or a helping hand or even just your smile and prayer.I ENCOURAGE you to SOW GOOD WORKS. Galatians 6:9 says.. and let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap,if we faint not.Go ahead encourage someone and make their day.Trust me.... it will make your day.

Ah...so you have the time to blog...so good...yes, encouragement is so,so,so important and yet for many of us we have developed a pattern of behavior that tends to discourage rather than encourage others. I for one have to consciously take the effort to 'hold my tongue' to avoid being negative and take a different route - but sometimes the old habits are hard to break... :-( ..thank you for the reminder though. :-) love ya

Encouraging others..hmmm..visiting aunty and her ailing husband at hospital made them happy cause they had no visitors this week....
Hi dearest sis. Just want to say that i miss you alot. I pray and hope as God Says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end. Jer 29:11" that God will truly give you an expected end and soon.
